Debra Devine Lee
We are happy to announce Jeffrey Glueck '83 as our 2018 Alumnus of the Year.

Jeff is the CEO at Foursquare, a leading location technology company which provides geo-technology for clients such as Uber, Snapchat, Twitter, TripAdvisor, Samsung, Tinder and thousands of other developers and brands. Prior to Foursquare, Jeff co-founded the online travel company site59 that was acquired by Travelocity, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer and launched the Roaming Gnome campaign. Jeff served as a White House Fellow in the Clinton Administration working on policies to combat climate change. Earlier, he worked on economic development in countries like Peru and Venezuela with Monitor Company, and on promoting economic cooperation in the Middle East as part of the peace process in the 1990s. He holds a master's degree from Oxford as a Marshall Scholar, and a bachelor's degree from Harvard.

Jeff attributes his success in part to his Harbor Day School education cultivating his curiosity and a love of foreign language, and for teaching him grit. At HDS, he learned that in order to succeed, you have to exceed expectations.

Jeff will accept his award and speak to the entire student body at a special assembly in his honor on Tuesday, March 12 at 12:45 p.m.
