Sierra Matheson - Second Grade Associate
Mrs. Matheson joined the Harbor Day School community in 2018. She began as a substitute teacher and then became the kindergarten associate. She is now excited to be the associate teacher in second grade. Mrs. Matheson grew up in Huntington Beach and moved to Utah in 2015 to attend Southern Utah University. While at SUU, she majored in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. After graduating, Mrs. Matheson moved back to sunny Southern California to teach at her alma maters Huntington Christian School and Huntington Beach High School for two years. While there, she taught students ranging from kindergarten through twelfth grade. She holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the states of Utah and California and she is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in Education with specialization in Curriculum and Instruction at California Baptist University. When she is not in the classroom, Mrs. Matheson loves to spend time with family, practice yoga, travel, and swim at the beach.
