Message from the Head of School - 4.19.2021

We will start school in our current facility, minus two of the temporary classroom buildings. Those two modular buildings must leave campus to allow for the completion of Phase 1 of our new campus. We plan to move into the classroom building, which comprises just over 66,000 square feet and all classrooms except for music and P.E., on or before January 2022. The move will put our students and their teachers in a spacious, state-of-the-art building. It will also be an exciting time for everyone. I recall the amazement I had as a student moving into this Harbor Day building when it was brand new and the school moved from Fifth and Marguerite (the site of the Oasis Senior Center) to this campus. As a sixth grader, coming to school in a brand new building that didn’t resemble the old school at all was thrilling. The building smelled different, sounded different, and had a different flow of students. I remember the novelty of the entire experience, and I cannot wait for our students to learn in a new environment, also. The new building is designed for current teaching methods and has over ten breakout rooms for students to use for collaborative learning activities. It will have new furniture and technology and will be an outstanding place for teaching and learning. 

We have many reasons to look forward to a great 2021-2022 academic year. In the meantime, we look forward to having you join us for upcoming events beginning with Orientation for Parents of New Students on May 11.
