Students Win 30 Latin Awards!
Over the weekend of April 21-23, seventeen Latin students traveled to San Francisco to attend the CJCL Latin State Convention. St. Ignatius College Prep High School hosted the event this year. The competitions were challenging, as our students faced off against nearly 300 other students in their same level. However, good weather, warm hospitality, and lots of fun activities produced a lot of smiles and fun times. Students took different academic tests in eight areas, wrote essays, poems, slogans, and myths. They entered artwork, mosaics, and posters. Workshops, group contests, and a STEM challenge were also a part of the program. Magistra Robinson and all the students offer a special thank you to our parent chaperones, Bita Bagheri and Heather Schmid.
