Student Life

Summer Programs

Summer classes at Harbor Day School are for current and incoming Harbor Day Students. Students can experience a myriad of different classes including art, cooking, drama, music, basketball, debate, math, and technology in a fun and relaxed environment.

These summer classes allow for students to supplement their education by building upon current skills and developing the confidence to pursue new skills. Continuing our students’ learning over summer also allows for an easier return to the school year.

Summer Reading Program

Summer reading is important at Harbor Day School, and all of our students participate. Designed by our librarian, summer reading book titles differ from year to year. Summer reading extends the enjoyment and the habit of reading beyond the school year. It gives an opportunity for individual choice, familiarity with favorite authors, vocabulary development, and writing practice during the summer months. Learn more about our Library.

Summer Math Program

All students entering grades one through eight complete a Summer Math Skills booklet in order to help them maintain their math skills throughout the summer. The Skills book provides a quick refresher of basic skills already taught the previous year. The school provides the booklet.
