Sawyer Henshaw - Kindergarten Associate
Ms. Henshaw joined Harbor Day School in 2021 as a Kindergarten Associate Teacher. Ms. Henshaw grew up in Hawai’i and moved to California in 2013 to attend Scripps College in Claremont. At Scripps, she majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, while volunteering weekly in a first grade classroom. After graduating, Ms. Henshaw moved up the coast to San Francisco to teach at Katherine Delmar Burke School. There, she taught in a third grade classroom for two years before continuing up to fourth grade for another two years. Ms. Henshaw is currently finishing her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of San Francisco. She is thrilled to be joining the Harbor Day community and to continue working with students. In her free time, Ms. Henshaw loves to take her dog on hikes, read, outrigger canoe paddle, and explore new food spots.
