Harbor Day School is a place where students feel engaged, challenged, enriched, educated, loved, and known. Our youngest kindergarteners delight in expressing themselves through writing, drawing, playing, and speaking. Our oldest eighth graders engage in student-led discussions on contemporary issues and timeless literature. With the support of classmates and skilled teachers, students face the challenge of the rigorous and broad curriculum with confidence.
Visiting our school is the best way to feel the warmth and joyful energy that fills the campus. As you can see on our website and will not be able to miss in person, we are building a new two-story facility that will provide the Harbor Day family with modern learning spaces with ample room for collaboration, creation, and growth. We cannot wait to move into phase I, which includes all classrooms, our Art & Design Wing, the library, and a beautiful quad for formal and informal gatherings, in January 2022.
The Harbor Day family includes our dedicated and professional faculty and staff, 408 current students, and over 1600 alumni. We take great pride in our graduates, and we stay in touch with them through their academic careers in high school and college and beyond. We have an active Alumni Advisory Council, and many alumni send their own children to Harbor Day School. We boast of our alumni attending the finest colleges and universities in the
nation. Traditional events such as the Blue-Gold Track Meet, Back-to-School Picnic, and Turkey Bowl are great places for the entire HDS family to connect.
We look forward to meeting you.
